I’m sorry you were bullied, even if there was a later redemption of sorts. That kind of pain and shame can take a lifetime to overcome and people who haven’t experienced it frequently underestimate the impact, making it feel even worse. It was a difficult thing but it never became unbearable. Some people have it very bad and it can make school a very long and lonely path. Primary school was quite horrible but high school so good it wiped many of the bad memories.
Interesting how different bullying experiences can be. I’m so glad you escaped it in high school. I was lucky to escape it in primary school. It must be hell when it happens all the way through!
